Ministry is hard.
Pastor, Elder, Counselor, Leader

 Our resources will help you.

The Problem

Ministry is messy. Everyone's problems are your problems. But you signed up for ministry because you love people and want to see the gospel change lives.

Sexual sin is the greatest threat to the health of your church. Porn sexualizes children, enslaves teens, rips apart marriages, disqualifies men for leadership, and derails missions. This probably doesn’t surprise you.

We know that if you could, you would tackle all these counseling issues yourself.

But you can't

If the statistics are correct (and they are), the counseling load in your church is too overwhelming for any leadership team to handle.

You may feel like your only options are to:

  1. Ignore the problem.

  2. Get burned out trying to address it all.

  3. Ship your people out to para-church programs.

But there is a fourth option: equip your people.

This is our mission: we equip you to equip your people.

“How do I use Into The Light to…?”

Start the conversation about pornography.
  1. The Into The Light documentary is the perfect starting point to begin the conversation about pornography. The film is story-driven, theologically faithful, and illustrates the process of change from start to finish. We have seen it be an incredible tool to open the conversation as a church and prompt confession.
  2. A potential documentary showing schedule could look like:
    1. Welcome and opening prayer. (5 min)
    2. Watch the full film. (120 min)
    3. Break into gender specific small groups of 4-6 to share what stood out from the film. It will create a space for some to confess sin. (30 min)
    4. Re-group for a time of prayer and worship. (20 min)

Equip regular church members to disciple one another.
  1. Often, church members feel under-equipped to help others walk in holiness, especially on topics of sexuality. That’s where Into The Light series and the Parenting & Pornography masterclass series come in. Both resources offer biblically rich, user-friendly teaching that can be used in one-on-one discipleship, small groups, or informal mentoring. The Into The Light series addresses pornography and unpacks what gospel change looks like. The Parenting & Pornography masterclass series equips parents to talk to their children about God’s good design for sexuality and the dangers of pornography in age apropriate ways. We have workbooks for each series that offer discussion questions, homework, space for notes, and summary take-aways.
  2. Here are some ways you could equip your church members with our resources:
    1. When someone comes to you struggling with porn, pair them off with a mature member of the same sex and give them the Into The Light series and workbook to go through.
    2. Buy Parenting & Pornography workbooks and give them to all the parents of the church.
    3. Buy Into The Light workbooks and keep a stack in a discreet spot where anyone can take one anonymously.
    4. Stock Into The Light workbooks in your church library.
    5. Start an adult Sunday school where you watch an episode of a resource and discuss it as a group.
    6. Send an email to your church recommending the Into The Light resources.
    7. Include QR codes to ITL and P&P resources in bathroom stalls or bulletin boards, private but visible.

    1. Host an Into The Light documentary showing for the whole church in order to open up conversations and show the process of change from start to finish. At the event, have one or two key members share their testimony.
    2. Give away Into The Light workbooks to encourage discipleship and accountability relationships to start.
    3. When someone comes to you struggling with porn, pair them off with a mature member of the same sex and give them the Into The Light series and workbook to go through.

What is at stake?

Church Leader, you are called to shepherd your flock. We don’t doubt that you believe porn is wrong and want your people to get help. But are you giving your church the tools they need to actually pursue change over the months and years? Are you proactively tackling sexual sin? Are you equipping all the people in your church: the men, women, children, teens, parents, and grandparents with the unique needs that come in their phase of life?

"Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood. I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock..." - Acts 20:28–30

We are serious about addressing sexual sin because God is. Even if you never visit our website again, we plead with you to equip all the people in your church.
