Dear Donor,

We’re grateful for your partnership in the gospel. Every month, we’re reminded that the work happening through Into the Light is not something we do alone. Your prayers, generosity, and encouragement make it possible for us to continue serving churches around the world.

One encouragement from this month came through a text John-Michael received from a friend whose church has already run two Into the Light documentary cohorts, one for men and one for women. Their elders are now considering a third cohort this summer. Reflecting on their experience, he shared that the resources have helped increase the shepherding capacity of their elders.

That kind of feedback is deeply encouraging to us because it reflects what we hope the Lord will accomplish through this ministry. We don’t simply want to create resources that help individuals. We want to equip churches to care for people well. We want pastors to feel supported, members to be equipped for discipleship, and conversations about sexual sin to move from the shadows into the ordinary life of the church.

As we continue thinking about the future of Into the Light, we’re increasingly asking how our resources can serve churches at every stage of that journey. For some churches, the documentary may help start a conversation. For others, workbooks, counseling resources, or training tools may be the next step. Our goal is to continue building resources that help churches grow in their ability to disciple and care for one another.

We’re also thankful to welcome two new board members, Patrick Hulehan and Dylan Eagle. Their wisdom, experience, and oversight will help strengthen the ministry as we continue pursuing this work.

As you pray for us this month, please ask the Lord to help churches grow in addressing sexual sin with both truth and grace. Pray that He would raise up more members who are equipped to disciple and help others. And pray that He would continue to provide the resources needed for us to create tools that serve churches well.

Gratefully,

John-Michael Bout and Jake Valk

I am beyond grateful for Into The Light Ministries! By God's Grace, I am five months clean of pornography and have experienced radical change through the gospel. The Lord mightily used Into The Light to help walk me through my struggles with porn and find new freedom. I am praising God for your ministry!

Your documentary Into The Light has been such a solid and extremely helpful resource in my marriage. We have been through some extremely deep waters when it comes to pornography. This resource has been so impactful. God has used it in mighty ways, and we are telling our friends about it. Thank you!

After watching the Parenting and Pornography series, I now feel like I have a good foundation to begin having educated, practical and well thought out discussions with my kids around the issues of sexuality, marriage, and pornography!

Thank you for the Parenting and Pornography series. You gave me practical help not only in teaching my kids but also in understanding and fighting my own habitual sins. Thank you for using your skill in words to serve, Lord willing, generations of Christians.

Sitting in Justin Early’s episodes were like being in a bootcamp for technological preparedness with children. In a world of seeming technological ubiquity with all of its worries, we felt better prepared to help our kids think through using technology in a way that glorifies God.
